Account Recovery Services will make sure that estate claims against an estate are filed in a timely manner after the death of a debtor. Estate claims should be filed immediately upon notice of death using the standard form and procedure of the city or town in which the deceased individual resided. A probate claim against the estate is also sent to the attorney handling the estate.

In probate claims against an estate, most are settled out of court but at times our in-house attorney’s are required to defend a client when a claim is disallowed or is being disputed by the attorney representing the beneficiary to the estate
